Problems accessing the CA or other Grid-Ireland websites over HTTPS with Firefox/Mozilla

If you get an error message such as:

“Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number”

This is due to a feature in Mozilla-based browsers and can be solved by re-importing the Grid-Ireland CA certificate into your browser:

Remove the Grid-Ireland CA certificate from your browser (listed in Preferences - Advanced - Manage Certificates - Authorities)
Click this link to import the CA certificate: Grid-Ireland CA certificate
Follow your browser’s prompts to store the certificate in the browser’s root store.

It may be necessary to restart your browser after removing the old CA certificate and before importing the new one.
