Cork, 21 April, 2004 University College of Cork In conjunction with The Irish Grid community will host a major international Grid Computing event in 2004, timed to coincide with the Irish EU Presidency, within the Calender of Research Events of the Irish Presidency. WebCom-G is an Irish grid project funded by Science Foundation Ireland. WebCom-G is holding their first conference, WebCom-G 2004. Those involved are conducting research into a new execution platform for grids, based on a non-von-Neumann architecture. The event will bring together approximately 40 researches, from TCD, UCC and NUIG, who are working on the WebCom-G project
